About This Lesson
Partner opened 1 minor, you bid your major, partner rebid 1NT. How do you show your partner that you have an invitational hand and a 5-card major, not just 4?
New Minor Forcing is a convention that solves this common bidding problem. After opener’s 1NT rebid, responder bids the “other” minor (the one opener didn’t bid) to ask opener for more information about their hand.
